Etude immunohistochimique des cellules du système nerveux entérique de la souris

Abstract : Our laboratory uses experimental models such as the C57Bl/6 wild-type mouse to study the possible neurotoxic impact of chemical substances ingested chronically, such as pesticides or nanomaterials (NM). They are suspected to participate in the occurrence of some neurodegenerative diseases. More precisely, to verify the hypothesis of a first impact of these chemicals on the enteric nervous system present in the gut, we have set up a protocol for glial and neuronal basic detection using immunohistochemistry. Here we report how it is possible to use this approach to evaluate the impact of chronically ingested chemicals on the enteric nervous system, by introducing quantitative measurements of these neuronal and glial markers.
